Sarah believes in cultivating a safe and compassionate atmosphere in her lessons, where students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and take risks. In addition to technical voice work, Sarah offers dramatic coaching, diction/text translation tutoring, audition prep, and musicianship training, all of which cooperate to develop a curious, confident, and well-rounded singer. Whether the ultimate goal is a degree in music, feeling prepared for a role or audition, or simply exploring what a voice can do, Sarah brings the same level of attention and care to every student.
Sarah has several years of experience teaching in solo and group settings, both in the United States and abroad. She has served as an adjudicator at the NATS Maine Classical Voice Festival, Bay Chamber Concerts Young Stars of Maine Competition, and the University of Southern Maine Concerto Competition. She has taught masterclasses at the collegiate level, and in 2022 offered her first Songs From Here residency with Waterville Public School student songwriters, performers, and poets through Greene Block + Studios at Colby College.
